What customers say?

“ Top notch tapas and paella. Order the paella two days ahead as you need to book the time and it is properly made for you. Tapas we each ordered one and that was plenty. ”

“ We had dinner in Picoteo Port last night and the tapas were delicious as always. This was the 3rd time we have eaten here and it was excellent every time. Great location at the port in Javea. It is small inside but very clean and cosy with a lovely bar and admosphere. Outside dining available also, suitable for larger tables/groups. Great selection of tapas on offer . I can highly recommend the goats cheese salad, pan y aloli and the beautiful fresh red tuna. Sorry didn't think to take photos, as too busy enjoying the food. ”

“ Well located Tapas bar in the port which offers good, though not exceptional tapas at higher end prices. The inside of the restaurant has ceiling fans rather than aircon, so it can be hot in summer. Service is good, though the tapas dishes were delivered rather too quickly for our liking, giving a sensation of being rushed. Would advise asking for a more sedate service of each dish. ”

“ Every time I’m in Jávea, I have to eat at Picoteo Port — it’s honestly my favorite spot in town! The tapas are always super fresh and full of flavor, the staff are lovely, and the vibe down by the port is just perfect. Great food, great people, great views — can’t ask for more. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ”

“ We went for dinner. Nice food… a bit pricey but good. The staff is friendly but seems to be stressed ”

“ Authentic tapas and excellent service at the port Location Set just by the port in Xàbia, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere — lively but not chaotic. Atmosphere & Comfort Simple, comfortable outdoor seating. The focus is clearly on good food and good company rather than flashy decor. Food & Drinks The tapas were very good. The Tellinas were fresh and perfectly cooked, and the Torreznos were some of the best we’ve had — crisp, rich, and satisfying. The wine we had was also very well chosen. Service Marco welcomed us with genuine warmth and looked after us throughout. Attentive without overdoing it — just right. Overall A great place for honest, well-made food in a relaxed setting. Would return without hesitation! Make sure to book your table:) ”

“ Haven't been to Diego and Julie's for ages, it was always good now it's even better. Diego junior and his sister have taken over, although mam still cooks all the food. The specials were particularly good the night we went recently, a modern take on traditional Spanish tapas. Diego was an excellent host and the place was full which is also a good sign. My favourites of the night; pork in cider with cheese and mam's traditional almond tart from Benitachell. ”
